LA SANTA COFIA: Durante la época de Jesús, la cabeza de los difuntos se cubría con una cofia de tela. Se dice que esta fue recuperada por los apóstoles tras la resurrección de Jesucristo y que permaneció en Jerusalén durante casi 800 años antes de que se le ofreciera a Carlomagno, quien se la ofreció más adelante al obispo de Cahors, en Francia. Actualmente se guarda en la capilla de Saint-Gausbert, en Cahors.
THE CAP OF CAHORS: During the time of Jesus, the heads of the deceased were covered with a cloth cap. Said to have been retrieved by the apostles after the Resurrection, this relic remained in Jerusalem for nearly 800 years before being given to Charlemagne, who then gave it to the bishop of Cahors, France.
