An archaeologist works at the recently discovered 1,700-year-old pre-Hispanic Mochica culture ceremonial precinct at the archaeological complex of Limon in northern Peru on January 8, 2018. According to the first investigations, the enclosure had been intentionally buried by the Mochicas when they decided to migrate to another valley. The Moche or Mochica culture developed between 100 and 700 AD, prior to the Inca Empire in the current city of Trujillo, 570 kilometres north of Lima. / AFP PHOTO / JULIO REAÑO
